John McCain Tells Michele Bachmann To Lay Off Hillary Clinton Aide

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., took to the Senate floor Wednesday in an apparent attempt to shame Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and other House GOP lawmakers who recently questioned whether a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was a fifth columnist for the Muslim Brotherhood.

McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, didn't mention Bachmann by name, but it was clear his comments were aimed at her and some House GOP colleagues who have requested an investigation of Huma Abedin, a longtime aide to Clinton, among others.

The Arizona Republican personally vouched for Abedin and dismissed the suspicions raised by Bachmann and the others as groundless. Bachmann's letter also was signed by Reps. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, Thomas Rooney, R-Fla., and Lynn Westmoreland, R-Ga.

MCCAIN: "Recently, it has been alleged that Huma, a Muslim American, is part of a nefarious conspiracy to harm the United States by unduly influencing U.S. foreign policy at the Department of State in favor of the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist causes. On June 13, five members of Congress wrote to the deputy inspector general of the Department of State, demanding that he begin an investigation into the possibility that Huma and other American officials are using their influence to promote the cause of the Muslim Brotherhood within the U.S. government. The information offered to support these serious allegations is based on a report, 'The Muslim Brotherhood in America,' produced by the Center for Security Policy."

"To say that the accusations made in both documents are not substantiated by the evidence they offer is to be overly polite and diplomatic about it. It is far better, and more accurate, to talk straight: These allegations about Huma, and the report from which they are drawn, are nothing less than an unwarranted and unfounded attack on an honorable citizen, a dedicated American, and a loyal public servant. ..."

"I have every confidence in Huma's loyalty to our country, and everyone else should as well. All Americans owe Huma a debt of gratitude for her many years of superior public service. I hope these ugly and unfortunate attacks on her can be immediately brought to an end and put behind us before any further damage is done to a woman, an American, of genuine patriotism and love of country."

Abedin is the wife of former Rep. Anthony Weiner. The New York Democrat resigned from the House last year after a scandal that resulted from some unfortunate tweets he sent to young women.

If that searing experience endured by Abedin evoked any empathy from Bachmann and the House Republicans who joined her request for a probe, it wasn't readily apparent in the letter they sent to the State Department's deputy inspector general and his counterparts in other agencies.

In a statement, Bachmann said her letters to the State Department IG and other officials were "... unfortunately being distorted."

"I encourage everyone, including media outlets, to read them in their entirety. The intention of the letters was to outline the serious national security concerns I had and ask for answers to questions regarding the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical group's access to top Obama administration officials."

McCain's statement called to mind another moment in Senate history. In 1954, Sen. Joseph McCarthy's witchhunt for communists in the federal government collided with Army lawyer Joseph Welch, who helped reveal the senator as a bully by famously asking during a televised hearing: "Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?"

McCain used different words, but to the same effect.

(Update) — Bachmann's former presidential campaign manager, long-time Republican political operative Ed Rollins, minced no words in condemning her for questioning Abedin's patriotism. In a piece on the Fox News site, he wrote:

"As a member of Congress, with a seat on the House Intelligence Committee, Mrs. Bachmann you know better. Shame on you, Michele! You should stand on the floor of the House and apologize to Huma Abedin and to Secretary Clinton and to the millions of hard working, loyal, Muslim Americans for your wild and unsubstantiated charges. As a devoted Christian, you need to ask forgiveness for this grievous lack of judgment and reckless behavior."

Today is

Republicans are Extreme Hypocrites..., They Throw Rocks All The Time

Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and others are attempting to use the scare tactic against Huma Abedin, who serves as a aid to Hillary Clinton.

One of the techniques of "propaganda" is to demonize specific fractions of the target, and by doing so, the propaganda machine will then attempt to tie the demonized person with the ultimate target, which is, in this case, the Democratic Party and President Obama.

Huma Abedin is the wife of former Rep. Wiener, the Rep. from NY that resigned in shame for his exploits of tweeting his private parts.

Huma Abedin, obviously is of Arabic Decent, which is why the Republicans are going out of their way to focus on her, which they are attempting to tie with the Muslim Brotherhood, who have been categorized as a radical muslim terrorist group, but, its the Muslim Brotherhood member that is represented as the newly elected President of Egypt.

The attempt to tie Huma Abedin to any type of Muslim spy organizations, with the intent to influence our elected officials to create laws, or back laws that will allow the Muslim Brotherhood to expand their interest within the halls of our congress or senate, suggests that one perfectly place person, of Muslim background, would provide the genesis of the ultimate destruction of our government, based on one representative of a specific ideology.

The False Fear that the Republicans are exploiting is the fear of Arab or Muslims, who are loyal and legal American Citizens.

Here is he twist

Almost every Republican member of the house have signed a secret pledge to refuse to raise taxes of any kind, and the pledge was design and presented to all Republicans representatives, by one man, who heads the group, and is the producer of " The Tax Protection Pledge ".

If any elected official agree to sign The Tax Protection Pledge, one could derive that one man, with a radical perspective, has committed a more egregious act than what is being accused of Huma Abedin, in that, The Tax Protection Pledge was signed by many members (200 plus), and the subsequent actions of each republican rep... did in fact, act based on an outside influence..., that all republican reps that signed the agreement, were in fact, influenced by a outside party/group..., to the extent that each rep that signed the pledge, voted against the removal of the Bush Tax Breaks for the rich.

The demand for an investigation of possible influence of our government representatives by these republicans, should be a investigation of the degree of influence that the designer of The Tax Protection Pledge, took on elected officials during the budget discussions of 2011.

Every signer of the pledge, acted in the detriment of the U.S., and it's that intentional detrimental act that I construed as "Treason", in that, the reduction of the U.S. Credit Rating was as a result of the budget debate, in which, every republican house rep voted against the budget, honoring the secret pledge by single specific group.

I wonder why no elected official is actually talking about this issue to the extent that someone ought to be discussing "Breach of Oath of Office", and "Acts of Treason".

Again, in this instance, we can use the Republican's actions against them.

What does it take to get a serious discussion of "Breach of Oath of Office", and "Treason" against these republicans who continue to undermine the United States of America?
